The EISEAIT 2026 Workshop (Engineering Interactive Systems Embedding AI Technologies), held on June 30 as part of EICS 2026, brought together researchers and practitioners to explore the challenges and opportunities of integrating AI into interactive systems. https://sites.google.com/view/eiseait2026/home Organized under the umbrella of IFIP Working Groups 13.4/2.7 on User Interface Engineering, the workshop highlighted the group’s ongoing commitment to advancing methods, tools, and practices for designing usable, reliable, and human-centered interactive systems in the age of AI.  The program featured a set of accepted contributions presented during short talks, where authors discussed application domains, AI technologies, interaction design, and key engineering challenges. These presentations fed into interactive sessions focused on identifying recurring problems, lessons learned, and future research directions through collaborative discussions. The Working Group met for an hybrid meeting in Rome and online on February 9 and 10. Besides planning for the next activities and discussing the organisation of the group, we also discussed the current research happening in members' lab, a great chance to share opinions and ideas on the future of UI engineering. In addition, the group welcomed two new members (Carmen Santoro and Giuseppe Desolda) and took the chance for social dinner.
